Passenger information screens for Arrival’s electric city buses.

01
/ Intro

You’re running for the bus. Is it yours? Which way is it going?

I designed passenger information systems for Arrival’s electric buses — inside and outside the vehicle. The challenge was making information understandable in motion, across different distances, angles, and crowded environments.

02
/ Inside

Information had to stay visible from every seat, angle, and distance.

Long horizontal displays ran through both sides of the cabin, supported by a vertical screen near the entrance. I worked on layout logic and information hierarchy so passengers could always understand what mattered — next stop, transfers, stop requests, and door states.

03
/ States

The bus kept moving.
The information had to move with it.

The interface adapted to changing situations — approaching a stop, doors opening, stop requested, in transit, depot mode, charging, or emergency communication. Each state surfaced only what mattered in that moment.

04
/ Outside

The vehicle itself became part of the interface.

Exterior displays ran across both sides of the vehicle, supported by front and rear screens. I designed systems for route visibility, service status, occupancy, depot mode, charging, and emergency communication — readable from a distance and in motion.

05
/ Vision

Good public transport should feel easy to understand.

Arrival was building electric transport for cities. My role was helping complexity feel clear — making movement, decisions, and information easier for everyday people.
